Life Is A Game Of Cards! What's In Your Hand?

The Psychic readings below are from the show link above. Join me every Wednesday from 4-6pm PT for live readings using my unique method of connecting with your Spirit Guides.

The mystical tarot card has come a long way from its humble origins. In the field of psychology, Carl Jung (1875-1961) used tarot cards in analyzing the Subconscious.  I use this same technique today on my radio show.

Tarot cards were originally used to play a card game that was very similar to bridge. As with the Tarot cards today, 21 of the special cards served as permanent trumps. These could be played regardless of what suit was led, and outranked all the ordinary cards just as the Trump cards of the Major Arcana do today. The game became known as the Game of Triumphs and was popular especially among the upper classes of society. In my radio show I use both a deck of playing cards and the Tarot cards for more accurate readings.

In my radio show I use numerology and astrology through birthdates for more accurate readings of both a deck of playing cards and the Tarot Cards.

Each radio show begins with a protection blessing. If you are reading this blog you may do the same by cocooning yourself in protective mirrored light that only allows that which is of the highest and best to enter into any Tarot information. Everything else is reflected back from whence it came. We wish it so and therefore it is.

In this blog, I have the time to add additional information concerning the personal readings including synchronicities that become apparent during the show.

What are synchronicities? By definition a Synchronicity is a noun, an apparently meaningful coincidence in time of two or more similar or identical events that are causally unrelated. As you read this blog you may see even more.  Synchronicities in the reading will often mirror what is happening in your life.  This is because we are all connected by the Greater Oneness of Life. There are no accidents, only accidently on purposes. The number synchronicity in these readings is 3.

During the show, I introduce callers to their personal Conventional Playing Card and Tarot Divination Card by using their birthdates.  I connect these with numerology and astrology. These are then used for readings and dream interpretations.

After the show, I post the readings and additional pertinent information that correlates with the reading on my blog. Callers are identified by their name and area code.

After the show, I post the readings and additional pertinent information that correlates with the readings on my blog. Callers are identified by their name and area code. Chat room people are identified by their chat names.
Rune chart

Becky called in for a reading.

Her Date of Birth is Jan 24 and that makes her a 3 of Diamonds = 3 of Pentacles

People who are Pentacles = assess the world around them on the level of the five senses because they are so planted in the earth realm. They can be very attached to money and possessions and often judge their success and the successes of others by their possessions.

People who are 3s=  possess the essence of the trinity: Mind, Body, Spirit-Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Three is a number of great strength because it represents the threefold nature of the one god. In scripture it stands for a completed period of time. Peter denied Christ three times, Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days.

People who are 3 of Pentacles= Your life is about gain in finance during this lifetime and you often use artistic skills to achieve this. Your inner beings who make up your complete-self, that goes beyond Id , Ego and Super Ego in this lifetime are different and diverse yet compatible. Connect and work with them through your dreams and meditations so you can continue to work together to achieve your Life Goals and Life Purpose.

Becky wants to know what her Near Future holds for her.  Using colors and numbers she chooses the Major Arcana Tarot Card 20. The Roman numeral for 20 is XX=YOU ARE HERE!

This is immediate validation from her guides that she has chosen the correct card.

XX is The Judgment Card=  A renewal and rebirth of plans. The important words that go with this card are FORGIVENESS & IMPROVEMENT.  By forgiving not only yourself but others in your life, our life will have improvement. Don’t forget the lesson, forget the pain and forgive the person, the incident and yourself for your reactions, and move on.

Suzanne chose the following Runes for Becky’s reading.

1)      Flowering= grounding in order to bring to fruition

2)      Co-creative rune= energy flowering out= CLAIM WHO YOU ARE.

3)      Fire Rune= be true to your passion and great-spirit.

4)      Moving through Rune= transition in your thought process.

After the reading Becky shared with us that she is moving out of an abusive relationship that had kept her from her son. Forgiveness is an issue but she will work on it. She felt her Tarot card described her.

Chris called in for a reading. She remembered that her personal Tarot Card is the 4 of Swards and wanted a mini reading on her life.

Using numbers, colors, wind directions and seasons, Chris chose three cards for her past- present- future mini reading.  If they were placed on a table as a spread the first card she chose would be the NOW (center card) the second card would be placed to the left (near past) and the third card would be placed to the right (near future). This is a very simple-to the point- three card spread. This reading is for a six-month period with the past within the past three months, the present NOW and the future in the next three months. .

1)      Now-  14 of Pentacles= King of Pentacles= This is the card of influence. Chris is comfortable with the power, influence, and status she has achieved. This is a person who is comfortable with themselves and can be of great help to others in the mastery of their life skills because this king recognizes the talents and skills in others.

2)       Past= 11 of Wands = Page of Wands= In her younger years Chris was a sensitive, optimistic person who had great hopes for financial success.  Pages are youth in the Tarot Cards. This is validation that indeed Chris has chosen the correct card for her past. The Page of Wan s wears a robe covered with salamanders which symbolize fire and creativity. Salamanders often have red markings on their bodies that look like flames. The wand in his hand shows the renewal of life in the form of budding leaves. The word that described her past is COURAGE.

3)      FUTURE= 14 of Swords= King of Swords= Authenticity- use your original ideas. Reconnect with your past for your future an use your mental strength and power. This card knows the truth of metaphysical law= energy follows thought.  You have the ability to Manifest the future you want and your past can help you.

Erin wanted to know her personal Tarot Card. Using her birthdate and astrological sign, I determined her personal playing card and then translated that into her personal Tarot Card. This card will always be her card and will never change in this lifetime. Anytime she goes for a reading, she will watch for her card in the spread. Her card, should it present itself, will always be her Present and all the other cards in the spread will revolve around her like the North Star. Her card will ALWAYS be the center card.

DOB= May 29= 3 of Clubs= 3 of Wands

People who are Wands believe in the power of intentions and ideas. They can manifest their future.  They also love words and search for the truth and meaning in them. They can also use words as weapons. Wands are the bears of the Tarot world because like bears, they are very busy and then go into hibernation. During this “sleep they dream their next goal and then manifest it in the waking world.

People who are 3s= People who are 3s= possess the essence of the trinity: Mind, Body, Spirit-Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Three is a number of great strength because it represents the threefold nature of the one god. In scripture it stands for a completed period of time. Peter denied Christ three times, Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days. Threes are also creative, sociable and seek variety.

People who are the 3 of Wands are patiently waiting for “their ship to come in” and have been working their whole life for that moment. They are confident that it will come. The primary principle that drives their life is: a successful enterprise. The second half of their life is a realization of hopes.

The Runes Suzanne chose for Erin are:

1.)    Crystal Holding= Earth Rune of the Angels= You hold a big space with the angels.

2.)    Moving Line= Human awareness of the air= You are going to receive messages and know what to do with that energy.

Tune in next Wednesday for more readings!

When Given a Choice- Take Both!

“Our body is a machine for living.  It is organized for that, it is its nature.  Let life go on in it unhindered and let it defend itself, it will do more than if you paralyze it by encumbering it with remedies.”  ~Leo Tolstoy

It is time to stop ignoring ourselves! What I seek to present in this article is an alternative to ignoring our intuition in favor of science or ignoring science in favor of intuition.  Why limit ourselves with one when we can use both to our advantage?

Don’t be a victim of circumstances.

The best way to survive any crisis is to:

·                  mix intuitional and scientific information and then

·                  cross-check them against each other for answers that are indisputably correct.

Listen, then verify. Believe but validate. By respecting both of these modalities in life, we double our chances of finding correct answers.

It is time to stop ignoring ourselves, discover our voice and speak our truth. Every challenge we overcame creates a new part of our inner voice/personality. In order to effectively battle crisis we must:

·                  get in touch with our inner selves and

·                  work together toward the goal of survival by using everything available to us.

By searching within ourselves through:

·                  dreams,

·                  meditation,

·                  or prayer,

we will find our own set of answers to any challenge.

When faced with crisis many of us are engulfed by fear of the unknown. When my intuitive suspicion of breast cancer was medically confirmed, I considered suicide as a means of freeing myself from a painful uncertainty. I wanted to avoid the gruesome death Mom had suffered from cancer sixteen months earlier. Before I had time to fully grieve for Mom, I was grieving for myself.

Unfortunately, when facing crisis, many of us forget that we are armed with lessons learned throughout life. In order to be successful:

·                  Our inner selves must become reunited in the goal to survive.

·                  Everyone battling any life-threatening crisis has his or her own set of questions concerning treatment and survival.

Questions concerning intuition often remain unanswered by the medical field and conventional society. Spiritual guides, angels, intuition, gut instincts, call them what you will, “voices” and dreams have gotten a bad rap in society. Just ask Joan of Arc.  Her voices were a double-edged sword that led to victory in battle and then to the stake as a witch. Yet, dreams saved my life.  Without the intervention of my inner-voices, I believe I would be dead, and this article would be a buried idea.

Join me again for part 2 of this article when I discuss the rules to a prosperous life and guardian angels as described by Padre Pio In his book Send Me Your Guardian Angel.

Part II- When Given a Choice- Take Both

“What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?

- Vincent van Gogh”

Part I of this article covered the importance of listening to yourself for a more fulfilling life.  In section II we will discuss playing the Game of Life to win, inner-voices, guardian angels, church and how they are all a part of not ignoring ourselves.

In the book Send Me Your Guardian Angel, about the life of Padre Pio, his Guardian Angel first appeared to him when he was still a boy.  “He took the semblance of another child and made himself visible only to him.  Later Padre Pio called his Guardian Angel/Spiritual Guide ‘the companion of my infancy.’” This describes my invisible childhood friend, Gee-Gee, who later became a full spiritual guide and lifesaving Guardian Angel when I was fighting for my life.

If I’ve learned one thing these past ten years of treatment and success it is this:

·                  You seldom get anywhere by standing on the sidelines of the game of Life and Death with crossed fingers waiting for someone else to take action for you.

·                  Life is not a spectator sport.

·                  You are responsible for yourself.

·                  Play!

Our inner self uses signs and symbols that include and go beyond dreams to communicate with us, especially during any crisis that can include divorce, financial problems and health.  No matter how confusing they may seem our dreams are always telling us something. Here are some other ways to get validation in life:

·                  Synchronicities can be validations.

·                  Listen to your fears, but don’t let them rule your life.  Let them guide you to action.

·                  Be a squeaky wheel until you are acknowledged.

·                  Don’t take no for an answer.

·                  Don’t settle for less.

·                  And don’t be dismissed.

·

Hoping someone else makes the right decisions for you when you are in crisis is a half-plan missing a vital component and your biggest resource: YOU!

Listen to yourself. Take care of your Spirit and it will take care of you.

DISCOVERY AND “VOICES”

"What a wonderful life I’ve had!  I only wish I’d realized it sooner."
Colette (1837-1954)

Affirmation ♥~ Loving myself heals my life.

A deadly storm brewed as I reclined against Peter’s chest during our ritualistic nightly bath.  As I massaged him, he lathered my body with fragrant bubbles. The tranquility within our bathroom offset Cape Cod’s nor’easter building over the bay. Romantic candles and music made the squall appear benign through the large skylight. Halloween had ended weeks ago, yet the sky was still shrouded in rich costume. Black velvet clouds embraced the full moon while angry winds rattled windows and howled like hungry werewolves.

I adjusted myself in the bath to better view the macabre performance of moonlight’s struggle against darkness and waited for the storm to pass. The serenity of our snuggle-session was shattered by a single life-altering question that forewarned of a deadlier squall building within our lives.

“Kathy, what’s this hard spot?” Peter asked over my shoulder as he gently caressed my breasts with his soapy hands.

My hand followed his to what felt like a pea beneath my skin.  His voice was suddenly replaced by the memory of a dream after my recent mammogram and another “inner voice” that declared, “Get to a doctor, now!” I’d never been sick in my life. Illness wasn’t a concern. Yet, the storm had just invaded our lives.

Three days later, I had an appointment with my gynecologist, Dr. Wagner, whom I also used as my general practitioner. Dr. Wagner resembled the deceased actor Gary Cooper in both physique and demeanor.  Each time he entered the examining room, the theme song from the movie High Noon played in my head. I expected a Colt .44 slung on his hip rather than a stethoscope around his neck. “I can’t feel anything on or around your breast, Kathy.”

“Perhaps it’s easier to feel during my menstrual cycle,” I replied from a contorted pretzel position with my arm held over my head. This was the only way I could feel the damned spot. He shook his head as he manipulated the area again. I’m torn between relief and concern. Is nothing really there? Did he miss it, or were the voices of alarm in my head just residual anxiety from my mother’s recent death from colon cancer. But, Peter had felt it, too.

“You had a blood test and mammogram less than six months ago and everything was fine,” Dr. Wagner said. He helped me up and showed me a copy of the report. “I think what you felt was just a fibrous tumor that is sensitive to your menstrual cycle.  Let’s just keep an eye on it. Come back in six months and we’ll check it again,” he concluded with a reassuring smile, and snapped my chart shut. We spoke a few minutes longer about how little cancer is in my family history, and my mind wandered back to a day, not that long ago, when I had a similar heartbreaking “cancer talk” with Mom.

Her gurney had been pushed against the corridor wall as she waited for an ultrasound to see the extent of her cancer metastasis. Our last mother-daughter conversation began with, “Breast cancer doesn’t run in our family, but now colon cancer does. You must get a colonoscopy and be vigilant of symptoms.” She smiled through eyes filled with sadness, pain and love. Was her grief unwarranted guilt at having brought this dreaded disease into our previously cancer-free family?  That was the second saddest day of my life. The first was her death, two days later.

“You’re only 44—too young for cancer, you know.” Dr. Wagner’s words shocked me back to my present situation.  If he isn’t worried about this invisible hard spot, why am I?  After all, he’s the doctor, right?  I dressed and headed for home, worry free.

But, the voices from my bath refused to be silent.  They are in my every nagging thought, and daydream.  “Go back to your doctor,” they said.  I had a choice.  Let these voices drive me crazy or listen.

Part II   DISCOVERY AND “VOICES”

Three days later, I returned to Dr. Wagner, who had already scheduled me for another mammogram and blood test.

“Go home. I’ll call you with the results,” he promised.

Almost one month later, on my forty-fifth birthday, I receive two questionable gifts; another cancer-free mammogram and “Happy Birthday” sung solo to me over the telephone by my father in Florida.  It must be as difficult for him to sing it as it is for me to hear it.  There was no high-pitched female voice to chime in on a different note or end with “and many more,” punctuated by a heartfelt laugh. Well, my healthy mammogram proves I’ll have more birthdays, unfortunately without Mom. A blessing and a torment all tied up in pink ribbons of lonely lyrics.

That night’s strange dream once again sent me back to Dr. Wagner. I had been enjoying my epic dream when suddenly it froze, much like the screen on a computer freezes, and a pop-up window appeared, much like one on a computer and just as difficult to remove. My Spiritual Guide/Guardian Angel dressed like a monk in a brown hooded robe belted with a knotted rope and leather sandals stepped through the window and said, “Come with me. We have something to tell you.”

I obediently followed him into a room I call the room between realms; a place that is neither of the earth nor the dead, yet the dead can visit to share information. It is a parallel universe of consciousness. I visited here other times in dreams when given information for people. A guide took my hand, placed it on my right breast and said, “You have cancer right here. Feel it? Go back to your doctor tomorrow.  Don’t wait for an appointment.”  I started to cry in my dream and told him that the doctors wouldn’t listen to me now any more than before. “They just keep giving me the same tests over and over. If you want me to get help, help me.”

My guide reached into the pocket of his robe and handed me a tiny white feather no bigger than a feather that escapes a pillow and glides to the bedroom floor. “Use this feather as a sward to fence with in your verbal battles with the doctors and you will win against scientific facts. You need exploratory surgery. Present your case to the doctors as though you were an attorney standing before an incredulous judge that dislikes you and you will win,” he said, then turned and walked out of my dream. I was outside the room between realms as the window disappeared. My previous dream started up again right where it had left off. Time had stood still.

I’m at a crossroads. Whom do I believe: the doctors or the voices?   And, how do I explain to the one I decide not to believe of my decision to believe the other?

The truth is, hearing voices has never been considered a good thing, by most people.  Yet I feel like I’ve been pushed into action by unseen forces, and this makes me feel out of control, a victim of circumstances. As I see it, I have two choices: ignore these voices and tell them to go away, or use them to guide me in a showdown with the doctors.  Should I  tell my doctor about the voices?  I know how doctors feel about voices, and it’s not good.  It is about as good as teachers feel about them. I learned that in kindergarten….

“Kathy is coloring people funny colors outside the lines,” my kindergarten teacher explained to my parents at the emergency conference she scheduled.  My mother reacted as any concerned parent would.  She took me to an ophthalmologist. He determined that my eyes were fine but that I was in need of attention.  “You color things correctly from now on and stay inside the lines. Stop worrying your mother,” were his parting words to me.

That was the first time I had realized that the rest of the world, including doctors with their fancy equipment, couldn’t see what I saw; auras, the colorful electromagnetic field that surrounds everything in the universe.  Explaining my colorings to them would be like describing a shrub covered in pink flowers to someone with red-green color blindness.  Their normal reaction would be, “What flowers? Check her eyes! There is something wrong with her.”

History was repeating itself now as my doctor became alarmed at my latest request. The look of horror on his face said it all.  “You want an operation?  I can’t take something out that isn’t there.  Exploratory Surgery is a serious decision, and in your case unfounded and unnecessary.”  He’s upset.  So am I, but for a different reason. I want validation that my guides are correct.  His concern is that I’ve overreacted to an “invisible spot.” My concern is that I haven’t reacted enough to this damned spot.  The voices agree with me.

As a doctor, his war chest is armed with indisputable medical evidence, three mammograms, blood tests and physical exams that all point to perfect health.  I have an angel feather from a dream. I dug into the mental chest, pulled out my tiny feather and imagined pointing it him. His defense is logically indisputable. Yet, I pleaded my case like a lawyer facing a judge to convince him to do what I want and not what he wanted –play the “wait and see” game.  Six months from now may be too late. But, since I am the patient and he the doctor, I am at his mercy. I’m taking a giant leap of faith here, so “voices,” don’t let me down! I silently prayed pinching my feather between my fingers. Then I turned to face my medical opponent, who I must win over to become an ally.

No one should ever be afraid to self-advocate for their life or their beliefs. If the status-quo were never challenged, the world would still be flat.

Your Traumaland: 4 Easy Steps to Surviving Life's Challenges

“Being at odds with yourselves is self-defeating.”

~Kathleen O-Keefe-Kanavos

Sometimes you don’t know what you are made of until you start to fall apart and your best parts pop out and hold you together. Those best parts often make their appearances in dreams, meditations and prayers.  We are made up of so much more than id, ego and super-ego. Yes, bad things do happen to good people. That is life on earth. If every day were a perfect day with no challenges we’d already be in heaven.  But, you don’t have to be a victim of circumstances. Here are 4 steps we all possess to have a victorious life. Use them to live a more fulfilling life.

I.)  Listening to our Inner-guidance can transform us from Victim of   Circumstance to Victorious Over Circumstances.

I embarked on a similar journey to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland when I fell down the rabbit hole of Traumaland. As a child I had been encouraged to suppress my intuitive gifts of hearing voices, drawing auras, and seeing the dead in my waking and sleeping hours because these were “gifts” no one else in my social circle thought they possessed. They didn’t realize that having a deceased-loved-one visit and speak to them in their dreams during their time of stress was an intuitive gift, too. It was a gift from a Higher Power during their time of need to guide them toward success in life. There is an old saying that says “Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.” Gifts come in many forms. Learn to just say thank you.

It was not until I started kindergarten that I realized my gifts were deemed unacceptable in school or church. So I complied with conventional teachings/social pressures and locked them away in the depths of my mind. I ignored my spirit-guides and repeated to myself what I had been taught, “Voices are a bad figment of your imagination. Angels and spirit-guides don’t speak to little girls.”   However, when my life was threatened by misdiagnosis and Hospital Policy my spirit-guides blew off the doors of their cell and flew to my rescue. Rather than being a victim of circumstances, I reconnected with my guides, self-advocated by standing in my power and speaking my truth and became an active participant in my struggle for life. Victory was at hand.

My guides lead me through the tunnel of crisis and out the other side to success. Illness is a vehicle that drives the bigger story of my survival against all odds while locked in the relationship triangle between my marriage and health crisis, the spirit world, and the medical community. Which would be the victor? My health challenges or my desire to live. And how could I, or anyone else, become victorious? The answer is to connect with your Inner-connections/guidence.

II) Connecting with our Inner-selves can create a more fulfilling life.
We have the innate ability to be a winner in life no matter how difficult our challenges may be because we are never alone. We have guidance that we can tap into.

Here are 3 ways to become victorious and live your dream-life.

·         Just as we are all born with the ability to verbally communicate and become bilingual, so are we born with the gift of gut-instincts/intuitions. There is quote that states, “The turning point in the process of growing up is when you discover the core of strength within you that survives all hurt.  ~Max Lerner, The Unfinished Country, 1950.

·         Our gut instincts speak to us with symptoms like goose-bumps, hair raising on the back our neck or a “solar-plexus punch. “ Trust your hunches.  They're usually based on facts filed away just below the conscious level.”  ~Joyce Brothers

·         Intuition is the next step- the ability to speak back to our inner-selves/gut instincts, making us multi-lingual on a personal level. “Intuition is a spiritual faculty and does not explain, but simply points the way.”  ~Florence Scovel Shinn

Some people are better at speaking languages than others but human beings are born with an innate ability to verbalize. If that ability goes un-nurtured or is suppressed, it becomes less than it could be, but it still exists as an unused ability waiting for an opportunity to grow.  That opportunity can be a crisis.

During my journey through Traumaland, I embraced my intuition and carefully built an intuitive bridge that was under constant construction. Bridges carry us safely over dangerous areas such as turbulent waters or deep ravines.  We can walk bridges or drive our vehicles over them. According to Dr. Sigmund Freud’s Universal Symbolism in the dream world, our vehicle is symbolic of our body surrounding our spirit. In our dream-life our vehicle moves us through dream sequences just as our body does during our waking life-sequences known as life situations.

Spiritual bridges are different from physical bridges in conventional every-day-life because they can:

·         stretched between conventional and metaphysical healing of complete wellness.

·         became “ bridges to everywhere” that manifest exits and new entrances on the road to complete healing of mind, body and spirit.

We are all capable of building emotional and spiritual bridges and do it daily. Often it is done so naturally that we do not focus on the job as much as on the completion of the task—a bridge over troubled waters.  When was the last time you connected two people (possibly in your family or social circle) who were at odds with each other? You built a bridge for them. You can  build one for yourself. Your Traumaland may give you the motivation, thereby turning a negative situation into positive opportunity for growth.

What is Traumaland?  Traumaland is the intellectual, emotional, and intuitive amusement park of crisis where every ride, game, and attraction demonstrates a different aspect of humanity’s complexities and individualism during the process of healing. My four steps for surviving in Traumaland will also provide you with multiple explanations of the way things are in:

·         the physical ( according to Wikipedia-  world reality, known as C-1 consciousness in Lifeline language, is the level of human consciousness in which we live our day-to-day lives.)

·         spiritual (According to the Newton Institute- The spirit world is characterized by the forces of creative energy, universal thought, and support for spiritual enlightenment designed for the apparent purpose of training and growth in all Souls' evolution toward perfection.)

·         psychic (According to Your Dictionary- Psychic Worlds have to do with the mind, or something beyond natural physical processes.)

·         and dream world of trauma. (According to Dictionary.com- Dream world definition is a succession of images, thoughts, or emotions passing through the mind during sleep.)

Crisis is humbling and comes in many forms. It can be a life threatening illness, a lifestyle change, divorce, death, financial downturns, or all of the above happening separately or all at once.  It is guaranteed to knock you down with its series of catastrophes that begin with discovery, often with no end in sight. Intuition can play an important part in survival and is defined as instinctively knowing without conscious reasoning. Our dreams can help us meet our inner-selves who may possess the answers to questions we cannot even formulate while in our state of confusion and grief.

III) Accepting Our Truth and Embracing our Answers.

The truth is: We possess all the questions and answers to all our life-challenges. Where do we store these questions and answers and how can we find and then access them?  Discover them by using these 3 avenues for success:

·         Dreams- A series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep.

·         Meditations- A practice in which an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness, either to realize some benefit or as an end in itself.

·         Prayer- A solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God or an object of worship.

As you become more tuned into with your inner-world, you may find that some answers are given to you by spirit-guides. We are all born with spirit-guides. A spirit-guide is a spirit of an archetypal force or ancestor that works closely with an individual, keeping them safe and offering guidance. Some guides move in and out of our life as loved ones. We are their job and the take their job seriously! Other guides come in a number of forms and present themselves in a myriad of places, like just before a car runs you down and a stranger’s hand reaches out and saves you, or a deceased parent walks into your dream, gives you a hug and “words of advice,” or the sound of a beloved dead pet alerts you to a fire starting in the kitchen. Many of our guides can be contacted though the techniques listed above. We’ve learned to pray but not how to listen for the answers to our prayers. Learn to listen.

IV.) Learning to Listen and Remembering to Say Thank-you.

We spend so much time praying, mediating and asking for guidance but so little time listening for answers and watching for validation. “Ask and you shall receive,” is more than hopeful words. It is a powerful truth. Speak that truth and stand in its power. Then remember to say thank-you.

Believe but validate. Your truth will present itself. My truth was a pathology report that validated my dreams. What is yours? Look for it. It does exist.

Use the three avenues above to meet your inner-selves and reconnect with your spirit-guides. You can build on those techniques and develop a deeper relationship by combining them with the 6 procedures below which are augmented with validating quotes. Believe but validate.

·         Keep a dream journal by your bed. Write down your dreams first thing in the morning. It will only take a few minutes. Our dreams are letters from ourselves. There is quote that says, “A dream which is not interpreted is like a letter which is not read.”  ~The Talmud

·          Later in the day, or at night before you go to sleep, use a dream dictionary to help you decipher the dreams until you learn your own dream language- another multilingual ability we all possess.  The dream may possess an solution to a challenge. “Dreams are answers to questions we haven't yet figured out how to ask.”  ~X-Files

·         State your intention to have a dream that answers your specific question. Write it on a piece of paper and place it beneath your pillow to begin the manifestation of information process. “Dreams are free therapy.  Consult your inner Freud.”  ~Grey Livingston

·           Surround yourself in protective light and request that your guides only allow that which is of the highest and best to come into your dreams. Work on creating your own meditation/prayer protective “cacoon” with your guides. This could be one of your first steps in working together. “Pay attention to your dreams - God's angels often speak directly to our hearts when we are asleep.”  ~Quoted in The Angels' Little Instruction Book by Eileen Elias Freeman, 1994

·         Set aside a specific amount of time each day to meditate/pray. This will help you quiet your mind and hear solutions. Increase this time as you become better at “connecting with yourself and your guides.” “A dream is a microscope through which we look at the hidden occurrences in our soul.”  ~Erich Fromm  (Thanks, Sarah)

·         If your day is too busy for personal time, make some important changes in your schedule, but until you do, use your time just before sleep to do your meditating/praying. If you fall asleep during meditation you will fall asleep in a state of grace and your doors and windows to the dream world and your guides will be wide open and receptive.  “That which the dream shows is the shadow of such wisdom as exists in man, even if during his waking state he may know nothing about it.... We do not know it because we are fooling away our time with outward and perishing things, and are asleep in regard to that which is real within ourself.  ~Paracelsus, quoted in The Dream Game.”

Use the four steps and multiple techniques in this article to help you connect with your inner-guidance and inner-selves for a life that is filled with health, wealth and happiness.

Tap into your physician-within AND your inner-millionaire to live the victorious life of which you have always dreamed. The only limitations we have in life are the ones we make and embrace. Choose to embrace success and you will be successful. Good Health goes beyond our bodies. It is also a mental state of being. I leave you with these powerful words for thought: “The greatest wealth is health. “ ~Virgil
