8 Basic Steps of Dream Re-entry

nightmares agin You have just had a really bad dream. Why would you ever want to re-enter that nightmare? Don’t we prefer to forget what is not peasant? One of the important reasons to re-enter a dream is to allow the relationships in your dream to grow and develop in a positive manner.  Our nightmares can be a blessing in disguise and a call to action.

This was addressed previously in  my blog 4 Benefits to Re-enering Your Dream.

Kathleen O’Keefe-Kanavos and Tallulah Lyons are in constant contact with their spirit guides in dreams and use information from their dream journals to findanswers to questions by re-entering dreams.  They combined their personal

experiences and shared it on the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) online Symposium. The goal of this symposium is to share cutting-edge research and information on dreams, spirit guides and  Dreaming-with-Others for research. This information is then shared with medical practitioners, students, mystics, metaphysicians,  and the world community of dreamers.

Here are steps practiced by Katheen and Tallulah on how to re-enter your dream for clarification, contact and retrieval of forgotten information.

  1. Follow the breath into a deeply relaxed state;
  2. enter an imaginal healing sanctuary;
  3. invite Supportive Presence/Inner Guide;
  4. re-enter the dream from a new perspective staying grounded in a sense of support and guidance;
  5. allow the elements of the dream to move and shift;
  6. allow new insights, perspectives and interactions;
  7. imagine the transformed imagery as healing energy;
  8. imagine sending the healing energy into any part of the body, mind, or spirit that needs special tending.

Tallulah has developed several guided imagery scripts that can be found in Dreams and Guided Imagery. The scripts are for deep relaxation, nightmare transformation, inviting a healing waking dream, and for integrating healing symbols. The recordings also can be downloaded from the website: www.healingpowerofdreams.com.

Last year, Laura Huff Hileman used one of Tallulah’s guided imagery scripts in a study to evaluate the effect on the transformation of nightmares. In unprompted reports of dreamers who used the guided imagery with their disturbing dreams, 61% – 92% reported movement from anxiety to a sense of safety, transformation of imagery from troubling to helpful, insights for waking life, and an increase in confidence and empowerment.

Kathleen has developed a free introductory meditation tape available for download on her webste www.SurvivingCancerLand.com to help clients use breathing techniques to enter and re-enter the dream-state for their dreamwork.

Dream journaling is an excellent source for researching personal dream delema and information. By dream-tracking, keeping track of dreams that my be recurrent or important, you can highlight questions or dream events and re-enter dreams to research the answers.

Not all dreams are filled with life altering information that must be remembered. However, when you are in crisis or plan to make the “mistake of a lifetime,” our ET (Eternal Teacher) phones home for help.
guide again Dreams are phone lines to the “other side.”

Spirit guides send information through dreams that not only diagnose illness but  can diagnose and guide you toward creative relationship with all aspect of your  life.
Re-entering your dreams is an excellent way to dialogue with self and your spirit guides.

3 Ways to Say "Thanks!" to Your Spirit Guides

When talking about their inner guides, dreamers may choose various names in accordance with personal background and experience.  Dreamers may speak extensively about their inner-guidance, but have they remembered to give a sign of gratitude? And why is this important.

Giving thanks to your spirit guide for information shared in dreams, prayers and meditations is a way of rewarding them for a job well done and ensuring future contact. It is much like when your children or loved ones listen to and follow your advice. You are much more likely to share more. Seeing them experience success from your guidance is a reward. The same example holds true for spirit-guides.

Tallulh Lyons and Kathleen O’Keefe-Kanavos are in constant contact with their spirit guides. They combined their personal experiences and shared on the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) online Symposium. The goal of this symposium is to share cutting-edge research and information on dreams, spirit guides and  Dreaming-with-Others for research. This information is shared with medical practitioners, students and the world community of dreamers.

For example, Tallulah Lyons is currently in dialogue with an inner guide she addresses as Eli. He is an ancient black man who appears in her dreams. On her weekly radio show, Kathleen often refers to her callers’ inner teachers as ETs (Eternal Teachers) who “phone home” for help during times of crisis.  Members of the cancer dream circle in Atlanta with Tallulah have talked about the Inner Healer, Inner Guide, Inner Adviser, Eternal Teacher, Creative Spirit, Holy One, Mystery, Source, Presence, and Universe, as well as many specific names.

Kathleen is often in conversation with Dr. Jules, her female medical spirit-giuide who is also described in detail in her book Surviving Cancerland: Intuitive Aspects of Healing.

In his classic book Guided Imagery for Self-Healing, Martin Rossman, M.D., addresses the fact that there are many theories about the source of inner guidance. He advises , and Tallulah and Kathleen agree – that there are three proper responses for helpful guidance:

1.      express gratitude
2.      take action
3.      and integrate the energy into waking life.

If you wish to connect with inner-guidance through dreams, perhaps thanking your guides before going to sleep may be a way of opening the lines of communication and manifesting an action by imagining it already completed. Just say thank you and then sleep on it.

The Age of Aquarius Still Rules: 6 Benefits for You." (Part 2)

 In popular culture in the United States, the Age of Aquarius refers to the advent of the New Age movement in the 1960s and 1970s. Astrologers take a different view. They see the Age of Aquarius as being a time in space that has been here for a very long time. We humans are only nearing the center-point on that astrological time-continuum.

Astrologers maintain that an astrological age is a product of the earth's slow processional rotation and lasts for 2,160 years, on average, That is 1 degree every 72 years. 360 / 12 zodiac signs = 30. 30 * 72 = 2,160.  To a degree we could be a part of the movement. However, we will not see the end of the Age of Aquarius in this lifetime, but if you believe in reincarnation and play your cards right by respecting the finite qualities of the earth, you may be a part of the ending celebration in future lifetimes. But,  we can still dream.

In part one of this article you read how that dreams can still diagnose your life, just as they did during the times of the Ancient Greeks and Egyptians. The modern day medical community is starting to discover how important dreams and healing really are with the research work of Dr. Larry Burk, a Radiologist from Duke University, who is compiling compelling data using 20 patients whose dreams diagnosed breast cancer before it was discovered by the medical community and the tests on which they relied.

Is medicine traveling Back to the Future to find itself during the Age of Aquarius? Is this a sign that spirituality, religion and medicine are realigning to become more powerful that ever before? Is the psyche and the physical finally mending it's fragmented image of self by using dreams as glue?

In the first article of this series you were introduce to Dr. Larry Burk and his research patient Kathleen O'Keefe-Kanavos whose prophetic lucid dreams diagnosed three cancers missed by the medical community and the tests on which they relied. Her book, Surviving Cancerland: Intuitive Aspects of Healing (Cypress House) attracted Dr. Larry Burk's attention as it described in detail her dreams that were validated by pathology reports. Kathleen and Dr. Burk presented these finding to doctors rom around the world at the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) in Berkley, CA in 2014.

Dr. Burk's research spotlights twenty patients whose dreams diagnosed breast cancer.

Another research participant, Carolyn K. Kenney, Ph. D.., RN published her academic perspective on the warning dream experience and inner voice guidance in 1996. Like Kathleen, Carolyn describes her dream and how it influenced her to seek medical attention, saving and changing her life forever.  Again her dreams were validated by additional tests and reports.

Wanda Burch was another participant who described her recurrent lucid precognitive dream as the Dance of Death in her book, She Who Dreams (New World Library). Like Kathleen, Wanda’s dreams foretold her diagnosis of cancer.Wanda believed that if she reached the end of the Hall of Dead while dancing in her dream she too would die. The Hall of the Dead was lined with dead relatives in their caskets. The message to Wanda was loud and clear, "You are in a life threatening situation and being watched by loved ones. If you continue to dance your way around the problem you will come to the same end as these watchers."

The Deep Well of Guiding Wisdom-Universal Consciousness.

Dreams contain an ever-available deep well of guided wisdom. Dream-guides take countless forms; Angels, religious figures, Earth Mothers, Black Madonna’s, Grandmothers, Divine Children, mythological heroes – any apparition that radiates numinous energy can communicate guidance.

Dream Guides Expand Relationships in all Aspects of Life

Not all dreams contain life-altering information that must be remembered. However, when you are in crisis or plan to make the “mistake of a lifetime,” your ET (Eternal Teacher) phones home for help. Dreams are phone lines to the “other side” answered by Spirit guides.

On Kathleen’s live weekly internet radio show Your Life and Purpose Revealed http://www.blogtalkradio.com/living-well-talk-radio callers have shared warning dreams of financial ruin prompting them to pull money from the stock market before it crashed. Other callers speak of meeting their future husband in dreams or dreams that warned of pit-falls in their current relationship. Dreams are doorways to important guidance.

Dreamers bringing the guidance of dreams into waking-life have reported these 6 benefits:

  1. Decreased feelings of anxiety and stress
  2. Increased sense of confidence in problem solving
  3. Improved relationships with both personal and interpersonal issues
  4. Increased feelings of hope
  5. Increased feelings of peace of mind and how to live fully, no matter the circumstances
  6. Increased sense of connection to inner guidance resources

Conclusion

Inner guidance is an innate gift. Popular musician Paul McCartney sings about how during times of trouble his deceased mother Mary comes to him, sharing words of wisdom. The list of celebrities, politicians, scientists and doctors whose dreams made a difference in their wold and your is long. Einstein,s E=MC2 is a dream come true, as is President's Lincoln's precognitive dream of his own impending assassination.

Unfortunately, President Lincoln did not fully understand the language or symbolism in the dream.

Jabberw2

Lewis Carrol's book Alice Through The Looking Glass is a dreamscape. Alice tries to find her way out of the woods but can’t see the forest for the trees. The vocabulary of the Jabberwocky is Dream-speak; a confusing language that doesn’t make sense… until you learn it.

Information that has emerged through patient’s dreams will transform and transcend both religious and scientific claims.  We’ re going “Back to the Future” where, like the ancient Egyptians and Greeks, dreams will be used as a diagnostic tool for health and healing, and as a respected means of unconscious guidance for a more awakened life.

 Join me for part 3 of The Age of Aquarius Still Rules when we discuss the 4 steps to a better life.

The Age of Aquarius Still Rules: 6 Benefits for You. (Part 1)

worry

Did you know that you are still in the Age of Aquarius. “Back to the Future” is still moving forward with the convergence of religion, spirituality and dreams? How does this shift impact your world and Universal Wisdom?  The answer lies behind the veil of consciousness pulled back by guided dreams.

According to different astrologers’ calculations, the Age of Aquarius is approximately 1447 AD to 3597. The shift shaking belief systems to their core has escalated inner-guidance phenomena that defies logic, conventional measurement, and challenges some current religions, but is validated by life-experiences. Some guided messages are simple, “Listen and live or don’t and die.” How attuned are you to this spiritual transition?

Current–day prophetic guided dreams that came true

Dreams as an innate healing and diagnostic tool for a healthy daily life were first respected and used in the ancient societies of Egypt and Greece. Dreaming was considered a supernatural communication or means of divine intervention.

Ancient Greeks constructed temples called Asclepieions, where the sick were cured through divine grace by incubating dreams-a convergence of spirituality and religion. Dream encounters with angels or spirit guides were considered to be of particular significance.

Current books describe the dreaming brain but few, if any, discuss studies on intuitive/dream approaches to the acquisition of knowledge about disease… until now.

Current Guided Dream Case Studies

Extraordinary dreams that guide, heal and change lives are being collected and shared by dreamers and researchers worldwide. In 2013 a project was initiated on dreams that diagnosed breast cancer that is jointly sponsored by Healing Imager, Inc., and Dreams Book, Inc., with IRB approval by the Rhine Research Center. Larry Burk, MD, CEHP, is the Principal Investigator. Dr. Burk’s research was presented at the 2014 IASD (International Association for the Study of Dreams) conference in Berkeley, CA and has been submitted for publication to the 2014 Sept/Oct issue of Explore: The Journal of Science and Healing -www.explorejournal.com/edboard. The research discusses twenty case studies.

Here are three extraordinary stories by ordinary people about the thinning veil between human consciousness and Divine guidance.

guide feather
Kahleen O’Keefe-Kanavos was one of Dr. Larry Burk’s research patients. She wrote about her guided healing journey in Surviving Cancerland: Intuitive Aspects of Healing.(Cypress House 2014)

Kathleen’s yearly check-up had consisted of a mammogram, blood test and physical exam. Her doctor told her she was healthy and to go home. That night Kathleen had the first of many recurrent lucid precognitive guided dreams. A spirit guide dressed as a monk stepped through a pop-up window in her dream, much like a pop-up on a computer. Her epic dream stopped as time stood still.

The spirit guide took Kathleen’s hand, placed it on her breast and asked, “Do you feel that?”  When Kathleen said yes the guide replied, “That is breast cancer. Return to your doctor tomorrow,” and her epic dream resumed as the guide disappeared. Kathleen’s doctor felt nothing but ordered another mammogram showing that she was healthy. When the spirit guide reappeared in Kathleen’s dream a third time she began to cry and said, “My doctor won’t listen to me.” The guide handed her a white feather and said, “Return to your doctor tomorrow and use this feather as a verbal sword and fence for exploratory surgery. You will win.” Using the feather imagery, she convinced her doctor to do surgery.  Pathology reported a primary stage two aggressive tumor in the right breast and a positive lymph node. Three years later, Kathleen was warned in a dream about three cancers in her lifetime by her physician-within named Dr. Jules.

clown doctors
Five years later Kathleen was warned of stage–four recurrence in a dream by spirit guides dressed as doctors who turned into scary circus clowns.

Kathleen understood that the nightmare was a frightening call-to-action. A double mastectomy revealed the third cancer; three crabs—all diagnosed by prophetic dreams. Guided dreams had saved her life.
Join us for part 2 of this series for more case studies, and the benefits of the Age of Aquarius for you.

An Easter Love Letter to YOU: 7 Steps to Embrace Personal Progress & Rise Above Emotional Blockage.

Easter can be difficult to celebrate when you are in or recovering from cancer treatment.

             It is hard to fake happy after the loss of a lifestyle, friend or family to this disease. But remember, if you are reading this, YOU are a WINNER. Let's celebrate! Take the first tiny step with a Love Letter to YOU.

Easter is a time of renewal that also manifests in our lives.

             A new day is a new beginning, and can often be a dream-come-true.

 When was the last time you dreamed of success?

The egg is the Universal Symbol of the promise of the continuation of life. Each day is progress in this life-time. Yet, it is so easy to ignore all the positive things you have accomplished and focus on what still needs to be done to feel fulfilled.

Fulfillment is a mind-set.

Fulfillment is a state of thinking that manifests itself into a state of being—mind over matter. As human beings, we must be in the moment to see our past accomplishments.

Accomplishments are the result of challenges.

During your most trying moments, what was the “cross you had to bear”?  Take a second to remember it. Now, focus on how you have risen above it?  Next, imagine being handed an ornamental egg painted in your favorite colors.  Lift the top of the egg.  Peek inside.  See the gift left behind by the challenge.  This achievement is proof that you are a winner. That egg with it’s gift inside are a promise for a new day. Time for the next step— thanking your Inner-winner.

Focus on rising above the strife in a Love Letter to Yourself.

Writing can help you be in the moment of triumph by putting abstract emotions into concrete words. You will celebrate with your inner-selves; those incredible aspects of yourself that you may not be aware of, but are always there for you. As you write, they will be reading the love letter through the windows of your soul—your eyes.

By focusing on your accomplishments, your mind is set to create more positive results.

Your thoughts and memories can also bring to light your life-purpose and help you stay on the correct path to your Life Destiny.

Here are 5 steps to write your Easter Love Letter to Yourself:

                                      1.) Remember—You may be holding the pen, but Inner Wisdom is guiding the words. Let them flow.

Although a hand written letter may be more therapeutic, a typed one works well, too.  The importance is not in HOW you connect with yourself but THAT you connect with yourself.
An Easter Love Letter to You is a simple letter to all the inner aspects of yourself -- Inner Wisdom, Inner Knowing, Spirit, God, or the Higher Power of your choice.  Your letter can be addressed to any name that resonates with you.

                       2.) Start with a phrase of gratitude, Mantra, or Blessing at the top of your letter.

Write a phrase or mantra that has power for you. This is your letter heading.
It can be acknowledgment of your Inner Winner. Acknowledging gratitude is one of your most powerful healing and connecting energies. Your mantra/phrase will reflect that principle. If you do not have a personal phrase of gratitude, borrow one that most resonates with you.

                     3.) Today's Date –Dating your letter helps ground you in the moment while you visit the past. The past is a great place to visit.  But, don’t live there.

         4.)  Salutation – Dear, your name, or Inner Winner, etc.   Address the letter to whomever feels right to you. Imagine sending a  private message or group email to all your best friends.  This can be one, many, or all your Inner-people who are responsible for helping you succeed.

               5.)  The Body of the Letter – Write whatever feels right to you. Let it all out, but try to start and end on a positive note.  You may want to start with:
     “Thank you for all you have done for me.”

         6.)  Sign your name. Feel free to use a name you can embrace as the new you rather than your given name. The Love Letter is to you. You’ll get it.

If you need more guidance for your letter, use my example of what your Easter Love Letter might look like and fill in the blanks:

“I am grateful for any opportunity to connect with my Inner-winner.”

April, 9 Day, 2014

Dear Inner Winner,

Thank you for all you have done for me.
I remember when ____________________________________
Then you helped me _________________________________
We worked together by _______________________________
Now, these positive things have happened to manifest the promise of a wonderful future ______

Love,
(sign your name) Super Kat

7.) What to do with your Love Letter. You may either save the letter and read it whenever you need to reconnect with your Inner-winner, or you may perform a ritualistic act of sharing.

If you  save it, put it in a place that is easily accessible, like your wallet. Take it out and read it when you need it.

            Send it to yourself in a personal email, or post it on a blog where your love and gratitude can be shared with many.

             Burning is a ritual act of sharing. It uses fire to cleanse away any residual negativity and allows smoke to carry the message of gratitude to your Higher Power.  The ashes left behind will be fertile ground for new positive thoughts and deeds just like the mythical bird the Phoenix.

 Your letter will be like the egg from mythical Phoenix.

This mythical bird exemplified in the movie Harry Potter, turns to ashes on dying and is reborn from the same ashes. This ability to rise again from ashes implies immortality, just like the love in your letter.

So, take a minute out of this busy time before the Easter Holiday to reflect on what you have done to leave a positive foot-print on someone’s heart or in the sands-of-time. Find that hidden gift in the form of an egg-of-love in your mind.  Write it in a love letter to YOU because you deserve it.

    Then watch for answers and validation from your Inner-winner in your dreams.
